The Black Crest Chapter 7

Hejigonne and Dr. Gromm are both in a ship floating in space. Dr. Gromm is controlling the ship while Hejigonne is in the back, looking at a single card.

Dr. Gromm: You’ve been looking at that card for quite a while, something special about it?

Hejigonne quickly puts the card back in his deck. He took a deep breath…

Hejigonne: No, it’s a card that’s just as important as the rest of my deck.

Dr. Gromm: It didn’t seem that way to me, you stared into that card as if it held memories.

Hejigonne: No, really, it’s nothing…

The ship shook violently…

Hejigonne: …what is this?

Dr. Gromm look forward.

Dr. Gromm: It seems that we are trapped in a magnetic field… I think another ship is pulling us in.

Hejigonne: Oh shit! The Rockfish…

Dr. Gromm: You know this ship?

Dr. Gromm: I have no quarrel with the Black Crest…

Hejigonne: This is a Black Crest pirate ship. They mainly find lonely ships, like ours, and take all supplies and cards… besides, I’m highly wanted by the Black Crest.

Dr. Gromm: Well, I’ll hide my cards inside my mechanical arm, just like I did in the Ezinian prison…

The ship successfully landed within the docking bay of the Rockfish. The door opens and men start pulling the two of them out of the ship and put them side-by-side against the wall. Hejigonne could hear footsteps, and he knew exactly who it was going to be. He closed his eyes hoping that this wasn’t happening… when he opened his eyes, Omni was within inches of his face.

Omni: Heji…?

Omni stopped herself from saying his full name. Most of her subordinates were not their at the time the God Card was stolen.

Subordinate: Captain Omni, what do you want us to do with these men.

Omni didn’t know what to say. She didn’t want to give away the fact that it was Hejigonne, but at the same time, had to find a way to release them. She thought about saying it was his brother, but being Sissarian, where all have red hair, that wouldn’t go over too well.

Subordinate: Hey… I know who you are…

Hejigonne put his head down, hoping that he doesn’t really recognize him.

Subordinate: You the Doctor of Death, aren’t you?

Half the room was in awe. Just about everyone in the room has heard of him. Ever since he healed the entire planet of Jargon of the “Exploder Virus”. After that, people conceived that he was the greatest doctor in the known universe. Legends starting brewing about him, even one where he could raise the dead.

Omni got close to Hejigonne and asked him…

Omni: Do you still have the card?

Hejigonne shook his head… no…

Omni clutched her fists, now mad at Hejigonne. Omni then pulls out her duel disc.

Omni: Fine then, we will duel.

Hejigonne: Wait, what?

Omni: If I win, you will be a slave on this ship for the rest of your life, and do whatever I command you to do.

Hejigonne: Doesn’t seem fair, you better offer me something good if I were to win.

Omni: If you were to win, which I doubt, you can leave.

Hejigonne: Doesn’t seem fair, I think I should get something…

Omni: Not that it matters, but I’ll make you vice-captain of this ship.

The room started rumbling. Hejigonne assumed that this wasn’t a good idea, but Omni was pressing this to him.

Vise-Captain: But Omni, I’m the vise-captain, what are you going to do if…

Omni pulls a gun from her side and shoots the vice-captain in the heart…

Hejigonne pulls out his deck… Omni and Hejigonne then pull out both their duel discs…

Omni: I place one card facedown and play “Soroto - the Wandering Pirate” in attack mode.



Omni: That ends my turn.

Hejigonne: I draw one card.

Omni LP: 4000 Hand: 4
Hejigonne LP 4000: Hand: 6

Hejigonne: I activate the spell cards “Glacial Liberation” and “Ice Field”.




Hejigonne: Now I activate the effect of Ice Field and send 1 WATER monster from my deck to grave, and I choose “Ice Rejuvenator”.



Hejigonne: I now gain 200 LP.

Hejigonne: Now, Glacial Liberation allows me to remove that card from play, giving me 300 LP.

Now I activate my Ancient Ice Wyvern’s effect, by removing 1 WATER monster in my grave from play, I can discard 1 WATER monster from my deck. Then, I can still discard 1 more WATER monster with Ice Field’s effect.

Hejigonne: So now I remove 1 WATER monster from the grave and discard this card to negate your trap, also, I use Glacial Liberation’s effect to remove Melinia from play after the effect resolves.

Omni, after telling Hejigonne this, backed up and saluted Hejigonne…

Omni: Hail, the new vice-captain of the Black Crest undercover resistance group, the Rockfish Pirates…

Your Ice Deck is really overpowered when using them in a duel, lol. Too bad Omni wanted to save hejigonne

lol, your not the only person to say it's overpowered... I only just now relized it when using it in a duel... some of Omni's cards are overpowered too, though...

Yeah, but not as much if you were actually using them.
